Question by Deano: i have a gold half sovereign coin dated 1906 with King Edward the 7th on it, how much do you think its worth?
the gold half sovereign is dated 1906 and is is good Condition it is british and has Edward the 7th on it how much is it worth?
i also have a 3 pence coin dated 1893 in ok Condition with Qeen Victoria on it, i also have a few more 3 pence coins dating form 1905 to 1930 what would the value of these be? thank you.

Details-

The box: on the front of the box it says "crown of crowns", inside the box in gold writting it says -
"coin struck by the royal mint, 22ct gold plated by craftsmen of england"
then there is a small leaflet thing with a picture of the coin on it saying, "coin pendants of quality from coin products of london" inside it shows the prices of different sovereigns and krugerrand.

The actual coin -
the coin is gold coloured with a bird and a crown on it on one side, with a swirly leaf thing, and on the otherside a picture of someone riding a horse, with "Elizabeth 2 dg.regfd, 1977 " enscripted on it, also the coing has a chain that you can have attached to it.

By the way im 16 sorry if the discription is a bit wierd... lol, anyway what is the coin for and can anyone value it?

It will be a commemorative coin issued for the silver anniversay (25th) of Queen Elizabeth ascending to the throne.

You might search ebay or google for a value - try "Queen Elizabeth II commemorative coins silver anniversary" and see if you get any hits.

It'll be worth something, especially if it's solid gold, but it may just be gold plate.

Would be same as today 20shillings or 240 pence.That is it's monetary value.However as it's a gold coin it is worth great deal more However in the time of Henry V111 the coin was worth 20shillings

It contains .2354 ounces of gold, and would retail for almost exactly US0. Gold has fallen about 20% over the last few months.

it's valuable but how much will depend on it's condition it will be worth is weight in gold

plus 1977 was the queen silver jubliee on the throne (25yrs)

i apologise in advance if this sounds daft! I have a gold sovereign ring measuring 20mm in diameter. it has an image of st. george on horseback slaying a dragon, under the image it just says 'st.george medal' with no date. there is no image on the reverse of the coin, its just a reversed image of whats on top (been pressed)
i also have no idea what carrat gold it is. i can make out G&TJ ? then 3blobs! given it a clean and looked under a magnifying glass but cant make it out! If i were to sell on ebay for example without having to go to a jewellers first to get it tested, what should i sell for?

Probably not worth getting tested. The ring has no value. There is little or no gold in it.

If you are already positive that it is made of gold, try to get for it.
