		<description>The gold half sovereign contains .1188 ounces of gold, which makes it worth a minimum of $94.20 just for the gold. Half sovereigns generally sell for around 15% over the gold value. Not bad!
Average circulated 3 pence coins generally don&#039;t go for much more than the silver content. I don&#039;t have a reference book here, but I think that 1921 and earlier coins are .925 fine silver, and 1922 and later coins are .500 fine silver.</description>

		<description>Well, I can&#039;t tell you exactly, but my family had a silver coin from somewhere in the 1800&#039;s and it turned out to only be worth about 5 bucks. I think it might have been the coin you have with Queen Vic. on it. It is not rounded. It has sides on it.</description>
