1) b. Enlightenment (a surly not!! puritans are a chrsitian group they believe in the bible word by word and that did not mix well with science when they were founded)

2) D is definitly wrong! - Spain kept Mexico (then including Texas),Florida and many other colonies in the new world.
Correct is a. France lost all her possessions on the mainland of North America
